Each year, NPR staff help assemble their "Books We Love" list.
That list has evolved from what used to be called the "NPR Book Concierge," but still offers the same thorough service, offering reading suggestions for all manner of interest.
The thought of parsing through more than 300 suggestions might seem intimidating, but not to worry, the list is divided into more specific and interesting categories.
Categories like "Historical Fiction" and "Mysteries and Thrillers" are pretty obvious, while drilling down into "The Dark Side," "The States We're In," or "It's All Geek To Me" might bring you upon an unexpected new favorite.
Ideastream Coordinating Producer Drew Maziasz spoke with NPR Arts Desk Reporter Andrew Limbong about a few selections from 2024's list.
