Triple-negative breast cancer is considered one of the most aggressive and lethal forms of the disease and it has the least effective treatments currently, according to experts in breast cancer research.

Although only 12 to 15 percent of all breast cancers are considered triple-negative, they account for a disproportionately high amount of breast cancer deaths. These diagnoses are twice as likely to occur in Black women.

The Cleveland Clinic has recently launched the next phase of its clinical trial for a new breast cancer vaccine. We're going to start the show today by talking to two doctors about the latest study, and about who is eligible to participate.

Then we shift focus and discuss the importance of the Lunar New Year, one of the biggest holidays in the Asian community.

Elaine Tso, the CEO of Asian Services in Action of Ohio, which is based in Akron, was recently invited to the White House to mark the celebration with President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.

While it was a joyous visit, it was also marked by tragedy, as it took place days after two deadly mass shootings in California. Those shootings happened in predominantly Asian communities.

To round out the program, we talk to journalist Vince Guerrieri, whose new book “Weird Moments in Cleveland Sports” chronicles all of the funny, sad, surprising, and downright bizarre sports moments in Northeast Ohio history.
