George Floyd died one week ago after a Minneapolis police officer restraned him by kneeling on his neck. The officer remained on Floyd's neck for nearly nine minutes. The death of another black man, unarmed and handcuffed, has provoked national outrage and protests in a number of American cities. Cleveland is still under lockdown from a curfew instituted following a protest on Saturday that turned violent. There are weighty issues we need to discuss about race, police and protest.
