The Coronavirus and the Legal System

Judges across the country are releasing low-risk inmates from local jails in response to the coronavirus pandemic, following the lead of Cuyahoga County Commmon Pleas Court, which lowered its population by around 900 over the last three weeks. On The Sound of Ideas, we talk with Cuyahoga County's presiding judge and a number of lawyers about jails, as well as other facets of the justice system impacted by the pandemic.
