As high schoolers, Clevelander Richard Knapp and his classmate David Pincus discovered that they shared a grim bond: Both of their mothers had died by suicide. It was far from an unspoken bond. They write about their lifelong friendship, and the importance of sharing their questions, frustrations and feelings with trusted friends, in their memoir, "Sons of Suicide." The authors join in conversation on The Sound of Ideas.
