Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit; Increasing Diversity In Medical Research; Angie Haze

Clinical trials and research studies are the path to advancing medical treatments and cures, but the people who participate in them don't completely reflect the nation’s racial and gender make-up. One local doctor has devised a model to change this dynamic.  Our Be Well unit delves into this topic. First, Ohio state lawmakers have very different ideas about the future of the Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit.  The House wants to call "cut" on the program.  The Senate sees an expansion as a possibility.  We’ll discuss the options on the table and what the credit means for Ohio’s television and film industry.  Plus, our Ideastream Arts & Culture team talks with Akron singer-songwriter, Angie Haze.
