In response to the opioid epidemic doctors are being shifted away from prescribing opioid painkillers. But for those chronic patients who need the medications--the change has left some feeling abandoned by the medical community. Some patients say they have been dropped by their doctors and in many cases required to sign a "pain contract." We'll discuss how efforts to stem the opioid epidemic have created more pain for some patients. Then with the Republican National Convention under our belt, Cleveland sets its eye on bringing the NFL Draft here--in a joint bid with Canton and the Professional Football Hall of Fame. Then, more people are giving vegan and plant-based diets a try.
