Smoke Free Applicants

Northeast Ohio's largest employer is about to implement a new hiring policy: if you smoke or chew tobacco, you need not apply. Cleveland Clinic executives say this just a part of their push toward wellness for all employees. And, since fewer smokers will translate to fewer sick people, the policy will reduce the Clinic's bottom line. But, what about the cost to personal liberty? And how fair is it to exclude a whole class of people from potential employment?
