Yemen has eclipsed Syria as the world’s worst humanitarian crisis, with an estimated 70,000 to 80,000 deaths attributed to the conflict between March 2015 and August 2018. The broadcast will discuss the war crimes, prospects for peace, and the geopolitics of proxy wars in the Middle East.
For this broadcast, I invite Professor Jim Johnson, who heads our War Crimes Research Office, Dr. Laura Graham, a student who heads our Yemen Accountability Project, and regulars Shannon French, Paul Williams, who has spent time as Counsel to failed peace negotiations in Yemen and Milena Sterio.
