Resorts World in Las Vegas, Nevada have introduced a new, more environmentally friendly way to help maintain the landscaping of the resorts. Ladybugs are released into the resorts, feasting on all kinds of surrounding insects, some of which are dangerous to the landscape. This process serves as an effective and environmentally safe solution to pest prevention. Each ladybug eats around 50 insects a day and approximately 5,000 in its entire lifetime according to Brendan Dellebra, the director of Horticulture.
