Baby sloth Beany was born in the summer of 2020 at Roger Williams Park Zoo in Rhode Island. He’s an active little guy! Well, as active as a sloth can be! They sleep up to 20 hours a day and are native to the tropical forests of Central and South America.
Because they are slow movers, algae often grows on their fur. But they don’t mind since it can help them hide from predators by blending in with green leaves, according to National Geographic Kids.
