In last week's show, we learned about the Ohio Attorney General's competition to design an anti-bullying license plate. We asked what cause would you promote on a license plate and why. Here are some of your ideas!
Delia and Phoenix, Grant Elementary in Lakewood: On the license plate we would put Save The Beez because the bees are dying out and they are actually really important, they are the number one pollinator. So if the bees die out, a lot of foods won't be able to be made, even though there are other pollinators it would take away lots of the oxygen because bees pollinate the best for all plants.
Noelle, Columbus Gifted Academy in Columbus: My cause would be to promote natural hair causes, I would promote this because I love my big curly hair, and I feel that it is important that you love yourself.
Summer, Orrville Middle School in Orrville: I would promote giving charity money to St Jude hospital. I would promote this because that money could go towards the cancer cure research projects or even help the kids that have cancer already. That is what I would promote.
Addison, Harding Middle School in Lakewood:To reduce, reuse, and recycle. I chose this topic because recycling is a real problem in our world. There is a pile of plastic the size of Texas floating in our ocean, and according to Environmental Protection Agency, America alone throws away 258 million tons of waste every year. And ETA says that about 75% of that waste can be reused or recycled. That could cause a big difference.
Jake, Fairbrook Elementary in Beavercreek: I would promote a license plate to koalas in Australia because they're in really bad fires. They're about to go extinct. So we should help the Australia fires so they don't get even worse. Because who doesn't like Koalas, I mean they're so cute. That is why I would promote koalas as a license plate.
