In this week’s show, we learn about a woman who is designing an anti-bullying app for smartphones. We asked how you stop or prevent bullying.

Below are a few of your great responses:

Aurora, Wayne Trail Elementary in Maumee: "I would make a special day on the first day of school for kids to make new friends, so the new people wouldn't be bullies to the other kids."

Kala, Orrville Middle School in Orrville: "I would stop bullying by sticking up for others. I can do this when I see someone getting bullied I can do something about it even if it is on a social media website. I can report the person who does it on social media and I can tell an adult about it and allow them to take care of it."

Delaney, Cloverleaf Elementary School in Seville: "Since I have been in Dare, I have learned that you should be an upstander and not a bystander. An upstander is someone who stands up to bullying. A bystander is someone who stands by and watches. That reminds me at my school we have a club called Upstanders. This group wears a tag when we go outside to play to show people if they need help with their friend or needs a friend. Also you can be yourself and don't pick on others."

Logan, Jefferson Elementarty School in Jefferson: "I would stop bullying by being very kind to the people that are getting bullied. I would also make positive notes and put them in kids' lockers or cubbies. I would also make a bunch positive notes and give them to kids that are being bullied to make them feel better."

Cole, Harding Middle School in Lakewood: "I would go to a school counselor to talk and tell them about it. I know this helps because I have done it before. Talking to somebody face-to-face works and sometimes people you talk to can understand because they've been through it too. This is how I would prevent and stop bullying."
