Long Distance Caregiving

It’s typical for adults these days to move away from their home towns, in seek of better job opportunities or to follow a spouse. But that creates a hard situation when a person’s aging family members need care. Hence the rise of "long distance caregivers," defined as those who care for someone who lives at least an hour away. It’s estimated that more than 10% of caregivers fit into this category, and that number is growing. You'll see how providing care for a family member at a distance can present a whole new set of challenges, as ideastream’s Lauren Wilson has the story.
