TRINITY CATHEDRAL: Two hundred years ago this month, one of Cleveland's most influential religious institutions was founded - Trinity Episcopal Church. Now located at East 22nd and Euclid Avenue, Trinity Cathedral is a local landmark with astounding architecture and amazing acoustics. But what brings people to its congregation in the heart of the city is its mission of inclusion. For more than a decade leading that congregation has been Reverend Tracey Lind.
LISA RAINSONG: Music lover Lisa Rainsong enjoys the thrill and spontaneity of a live performance, especially when it’s free - and happens every day in her own backyard. The story comes to us from ideastream’s David C. Barnett.
AUTHOR CAROL WALLACE: Fans of the hit show Downton Abbey rejoice! Starting Thanksgiving Day at 7:00 p.m., and running through the holiday weekend, WVIZ/PBS ideastream will broadcast all six seasons of Downton, finishing Sunday at 10:00 p.m. In creating the show, Executive Producer, Julian Fellowes did deep research on how British nobility lived their lives at the turn of the 20th century. One of the resources he used was a book by author Carol Wallace, titled “To Marry an English Lord.”
REBECCA EATON: Downton Abbey almost never made it to the small screen. When the show was first pitched to Rebecca Eaton, the Executive Producer of Masterpiece Theater, she turned it down. Her book, “Making Masterpiece,” talks about bringing Downton to PBS, along with other series.
