Early yesterday morning in a crowded entertainment district in Dayton, a 24-year-old gunman killed nine people and injured dozens in less than a minute before being killed by police. Less than 24 hours earlier, a mass shooter killed 20 in an El Paso Wal-Mart in what's been described as an act of domestic terrorism. The shootings keep happening and frustration over inaction in addressing this problem mounts. On The Sound of Ideas, we'll discuss the shootings and get thoughts on the response and what needs to be done to make us more safe. Thoughts and prayers, yes, but what else?
