Gun Violence and Community Trauma

July has seen a 20 percent spike in shootings in Cleveland when compared to July 2017.

Besides the heartbreaking loss of life, this repeated exposure to trauma can cause chronic stress - and widen health disparities.
Cleveland community leaders and health experts are working together to find a solution to this epidemic. A mother who lost her nine-year-old daughter will share her perspective

In this special Be Well segment hosted by ideastream's Rick Jackson and Marlene Harris-Taylor, we examine treating gun violence as a public health issue and we look at how cities like Pittsburgh and Chicago have adopted a similar stance with success.

- Ra'Sheen Ali, Owner, DNA Level C Boxing Club
