Homeless outreach groups across the country are conducting the annual Point-In-Time Count. Although official numbers won't be in for months, advocates expect the number of people experiencing homelessness to continue to increase.

The Summit Lake community celebrated the opening of the new Ohio and Erie Canal Summit Lake Trail. The trail loops around the lake and connects to the Towpath Trail.

Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority and Community Action Akron Summit are partnering to provide wifi hotspots to low income residents.
