State of the County address

Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne's State of the County focused on investments in services for Cuyahoga County’s youth and unhoused, environmental sustainability and property tax assistance. The speech was interrupted repeatedly by protesters calling on the county to end investments in Israeli bonds.

In the first State of the County address since 2019, County Executive Ilene Shapiro addressed how the county spent its millions of dollars in COVID-19 relief, and how it plans to allocate future funds. Among the priorities is a major broadband expansion, she said.

The county government leader says the county is preparing for an influx of resources for neighborhoods with the most economic needs.
