Sheriff Harold Pretel is proposing duplicating the work of the Cleveland downtown safety patrol from the summer in other cities.

Harold Pretel is currently Deputy Chief of Homeland Special Operations with the Cleveland Police Department. The county has had a succession of interim chiefs since 2019.
