Boy Scouts

The fund was formed in response to allegations from about 82,500 men that they were molested as children while members of the organization. The Boy Scouts also announced new measures to prevent abuse.

The Scout's Honor Law would ensure that survivors in Ohio will get 100% of their settlement rather than 30 to 45%.

The Ohio Senate is expected to vote on what's known as the Scout's Honor Law. Ohio House lawmakers passed it last week.

A bankruptcy settlement involving the Boy Scouts of America sets aside nearly $3 billion for the victims, but Ohio's statute of limitations caps the amount of money survivors can claim.
