2018 APME - Best Feature Reporting: Shuffle

Music is an important part of the fiber of NE Ohio. The region is home to professional and amateur musicians and venues that range from grand to modest. Amanda Rabinowitz is dedicated to reporting on this significant community in her weekly Shuffle segment.

Her overriding criteria for the series is music’s local impact, demonstrated by the three features in the submission as songwriters team with vets to help express their stories in song, music plays a key role in the business revitalization of Akron’s Kenmore neighborhood, and an artist and songwriter come together to create a new story about 19th century canal life.
