Ideastream Public Media presents The Hunger Challenge

Ideastream Public Media is pleased to bring the Hunger Challenge back to our airwaves from November 22 to November 28.

This summer, our community exceeded our goal and significantly contributed to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to help them fight food insecurity. However, the need continues for our food bank partners and children in Northeast Ohio as inflation drives food insecurity, including high food costs.

We need your support to make a difference!

• In Ohio, 1,653,610 people may struggle with hunger - and of them 505,430 are children 
• 1 in 7 people may experience food insecurity in Ohio 
• Nearly 1 in 5 children may experience food insecurity in Ohio 
• People facing hunger in Ohio need nearly 1.2 billion per year to meet their needs
