Sunday, May 23 is the deadline to enter Ohio's first Vax-a-Million drawing. On Wednesday, one vaccinated Ohioan will be chosen to win a million dollars.
Wednesday's drawing is the first of five drawings, and once you are entered, you do not have to submit your name each week.
You have to opt-in, and many eligible Ohioans have not signed up yet, according to a news release from The Ohio Department of Health (ODH).
More than 5 million Ohioans have started the COVID-19 vaccination process, according to ODH.
To be eligible, the person must have started the vaccination process, be a full-time Ohio resident, and be over 18 years old.
For those under 18, there is a separate drawing to win a four-year, full-ride scholarship to any public Ohio college or university. The scholarship includes room and board, books, and tuition.
You can enter both drawings at www.ohiovaxamillion.com, or call 1-833-4-ASK-ODH (1-833-427-5634).
The Ohio Department of Health said vaccinations have increased since the lottery was announced.
