The stress of racial bias part one

Stress is something we all experience every day. But new research points to the role chronic stress may play in health disparities in minority groups, particularly in African Americans. African Americans have higher rates of heart disease, high blood pressure, and certain forms of cancer than whites. In the continuing Be Well series “Derailed by Stress,” Marlene Harris-Taylor reports on how the added stress from racial bias has both psychological and physical consequences for the parents and teenage children in one Cleveland family.
