A suspect is in custody in connection with the deadly shooting of a 19-year-old man at a branch of the Cleveland Public Library in South Brooklyn last week. Police say officers arrested the 18-year-old man on West 47 th Street last night. They provided no further details.
Police in Cleveland are searching for the driver who struck and killed a man on Cleveland's West Side Saturday night. The victim was hit while crossing West 25th Street at Clark Avenue. According to police, the pedestrian was in the crosswalk and the pedestrian walk sign was activated when a blue 2009 Chevy Malibu sped through the red light and struck him. Police say the victim was then thrown into a 2007 Saturn that was at the intersection. The driver continued north on West 25th Street and collided with another car. Investigators say witnesses saw the driver and a passenger leaving the Malibu and running away.
Authorities are also investigating a car found upside down at the base of a cliff near Rocky River. Cleveland Fire officials tweeted Sunday morning that the Saab convertible went off the cliff near Golf View Drive, which borders the Rocky River Reservation. The car was unoccupied and officials were unable to locate any victims.

Trevor Bauer hurled a ball over the center field wall while being taken out of the game in the Indians’ 9-6 loss to the Kansas City Royals. Bauer said he had been frustrated and apologized for his actions in a statement after the game. Bauer accrued eight runs, seven earned, on nine hits, four walks and six strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.
