The overwhelming vote on Friday, Oct. 4, was for Cole the deaf pit bull, who was overlooked at a New Jersey shelter until he was adopted by a music teacher. He responds to sign language commands, and has become a valuable therapy dog. For his efforts, he was named the ASPCA "Dog of the Year" in 2023.
