Although Frankie the Afghan Hound did not win her group at the recent Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, her appearance followed eight months of treatment for Lyme disease caused by a tick bite. Her story, and the devotion of her owners, resulted in the top Pet News of the Week vote on May 17.
