The votes were tied by Monday morning between Max, the Labrador Retriever whose bark helped find his owner, who had been diagnosed with dementia, and Apollo, the hearing-impaired rescue dog adopted by a hearing-impaired man. A listener from North Ridgeville broke the tie with a phone vote, giving Max the edge. Listener participation makes the Pet News successful. Please vote again next weekend.
