American composer George Bristow completed his Mass in C in 1885, but only two movements seem to have been performed in his lifetime. Brian Bailey, the Music Director of Choral Arts Cleveland, has prepared a performing edition of the music, which will be premiered Wednesday evening, June 8th, at Fairmount Presbyterian Church.
