Arts organizations across Northeast Ohio still have some more festivals before summer comes to a close. From the Flats Festival of the Arts to art-A-palooza in Green, here are five events to enjoy this week.

Flats Festival of the Arts

The 5 th annual Flats Festival of the Arts is Saturday, August 21, 11 a.m. – 8 p.m., and Sunday, August 22, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., at Flats East Bank in Cleveland. Enjoy regional musicians’ performances as well as local food and beverage vendors while perusing the works of hundreds of artists from across the country.

art-A-palooza

The City of Green and the Green Arts Council present art-A-palooza, a fine arts event featuring over 60 regional artists of a variety of mediums as well as local food vendors, live music and family-friendly activities. The event is Saturday, August 21, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., at Boettler Park.

Music at the Arboretum

Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach presents its final summer concert at the John Streeter Garden Amphitheater in Wooster Friday, August 20, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. The performance, “ Idle Twittering: A Flock of Flutes,” features Northeast Ohio flutists George Pope, Jane Berkner, Kyra Kester and Linda White. The term “idle twittering” came from French flutist Louis Fleury as a reference to music of the 19 th century.

Cleveland Print Room Gallery

The Cleveland Print Room hosts a gallery of works by photographer Don Penn. The opening and artist talk is Saturday, August 21, 12 – 4 p.m. Penn’s multidimensional work is inspired by movement and the passage of time.

Art in the Park

The City of Painesville presents Art in the Park, a family-friendly festival in Veterans Park in downtown Painesville Saturday, August 21, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The event will feature the works of local art vendors, entertainment, children’s activities and more.
