Rootstown STEM School Targets The Underserved

Today's Tuesday Check Up features ideastream's Rick Jackson talking with Health reporter Ellen Jan Kleinerman of the Plain Dealer.
Her article details a new high school on the campus of Northeast Ohio Medical College in Rootstown - recently designated as Ohio's newest STEM school... focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. The goal is to excite rural students in potential careers in all types of medicine, in the belief they would be better suited, and more willing to use those skills for building careers in rural parts of the nation.
