The 58-year-old Tubbs Jones became the first black woman to represent Ohio in Congress when she was elected in 1998. Tubbs Jones is set to be a superdelegate at next week’s Democratic National Convention in Denver. She was one of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s biggest boosters during the primaries and she threw her support to Barack Obama in June.
