The government says U.S. motorists drove 12.2 billion fewer miles in June than in the same month a year earlier. The 4.7 percent national decline came while gas prices were peaking and was the biggest monthly drop in a downward trend that began in November. In Ohio, driving was down 4.6 percent for June. A spokeswoman for the Travel Industry Association says she's optimistic that with gas prices recently falling below $4 a gallon, travelers will get back on the road again.
