The Steelworkers' union will hear today from Senator Joe Biden, Former Senator John Edwards, and Congressman Dennis Kucinich. The presidential candidates will face questions on health care, campaign finance, and trade policies the union says are wiping out manufacturing jobs. United Steelworkers spokesman Wayne Ranick says this city was a natural choice for the forum.
Wayne Ranick: Cleveland was picked because obviously it's an area that's been impacted by the downturn in manufacturing activity over the last decade.
More than 800 United Steelworkers members are expected to attend the forum. Hillary Clinton will address the steelworkers on Friday. Barack Obama and other candidates were invited, but had scheduling conflicts.
