This week Gov. John Kasich criticized the media with a line that’s often associated with President Trump - "fake news". Kasich sounded off about a report in the Columbus Dispatch saying that figures from the state showed it gained just 12,500 jobs last year, making his job creation record for the last two years is only slightly better than that of his Democratic predecessor, Ted Strickland.
For seven years, Ohio lawmakers have been cutting down on gun regulation. But while there are 22 gun-related bills pending in the legislature right now, lawmakers have recently pumped the brakes on passing the most controversial ones. Gov. John Kasich has recently turned around on gun control measures, proposing a package of six bills he calls “reasonable”. And as Statehouse correspondent Andy Chow reports, that has gun rights supporters voicing their frustration.
